Terms and Conditions

General

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your lesson is due otherwise you will be charged for the session.

All lessons must be paid in cash at the start of the lesson or if the method you are using is bank transfer then the transfer must be completed before the lesson.

If you are late for your lesson you will only be able to continue until your allotted time.

It is the responsibility of the pupil that they are of good health and not under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Failure to do so will result in the lesson time being charged in full and a termination of services. 

Continual cancellations without good reason will result in any contract being terminated and no refunds given.

Any behavior which is considered threatening or abusive will not be tolerated.

Bundles and courses

Bundles or courses must be paid for in full 7 days before commencement of the first session.

Bundles are only for learners who have no previous experience and are new to driving. These bundles are for the first time only after which you may discuss with your instructor and any further offers for bundles or block bookings are down to the instructor’s discretion.

Any bundles or courses that are postponed for longer than 12 weeks will be forfeit and no refund shall be given.

Test day fees are £100 for the hour prior to the test and for use of the car during the driving test.

Bundles do not include test day fees. All bundles are for a minimum time of 2 hours per session IF the bundle purchased is for 10 or 20 hours.

The “Guaranteed Pass” for 60 hours and does not include the Theory or Practical tests (Please ask for the Price). Due to the different capabilities of pupils, if your instructor is not satisfied with your safety and skills on the road, they will be entitled to withhold their vehicle for use in a driving test, they may also advise more hours of driving tuition in which case the usual rates will apply.

If you are dissatisfied or unable to continue for any reason, please note that a refund WILL NOT be given once training has commenced. The following exceptions apply:

  • If the candidate develops a serious medical condition and confirms this via a written confirmation from a doctor, this must state why the candidate cannot continue driving or teaching.
  • If the candidate is disqualified from driving within the first 3 months of undertaking training.
  • If JNI Driving trainers or instructors are unable to continue to provide training.
 

Under these circumstances, the number of hours of training will be charged at the standard rate per hour or the rate agreed before commencing the course with your instructor/trainer. Please note it may take up to 28 days to process your refund after your written request.

Whilst every care is taken to keep personal property safe, JNI Driving will not be held responsible for any personal belongings left in the vehicle.

Whilst your driving instructor is there to keep you under close supervision. You, the driver, are responsible for keeping the car safe and as a driver are liable for any fines that occur whilst you are driving.

Your driving instructor will aim to keep you and the car safe and free from damage, however in the event of the vehicle being damaged due to carelessness despite your instructor making their best effort to keep you safe you will be liable for half the damage caused. During your driving test, you the driver will be liable for any damages caused however minor.

The Instructor has the right the withhold the use of the car for the driving test if they deem the pupil does not meet the standard required.
